A Family Evening of Story ~ Featuring Jim Weiss

San Luis Obispo Classical Academy will host a storytelling experience: Experience Myths & Mysteries with Jim Weiss on Friday, Jan. 12 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Mountainbrook Church, 1775 Calle Joaquin in San Luis Obispo.

Weiss is a master storyteller who entertains children and adults with some of the world’s most thrilling myths and mysteries. He brings literature to life as he talked about Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson, Hercules and other classic heroes.

Weiss has been an author, lecturer, storyteller and presenter for 28 years. He and his wife, Randy, have produced more than 75 storytelling recordings of classical literature and history.

Weiss has been the recipient of more than 100 national awards from numerous prestigious home education and national sources. In 2016, Weiss licensed his recordings and business operation to The Well-Trained Mind Press, which is now the official publisher of Weiss’ recordings. His newest recordings include “A cornucopia of Best-Loved Poems” in two volumes, and “Courage and a “Clear Mind: True Adventuresof the Ancient Greeks.”  

Tickets are $20 for adults or $5 for students or children. Snacks, treats and drinks will be available for purchase.
