Spring Break Camps

Spring break can be both fun or draining (or both). I usually attempt to plan a vacation (even a short one to somewhere nearby) over the break, but that’s not always possible. When we’re not able to go somewhere, I do a combination of taking time off and working from home, while trying to fine some fun things to do AND promote plenty of free play. Check out our Events Calendar to see all the events, which are pretty diverse and plentiful.

There are many choices of things to do over spring break. For working parents, there’s the option of putting your child in an all-day childcare program (CLICK HERE to search for referrals from CAPSLO), or find different summer camps to occupy their time, or find a variety of fun (and often free) things to do around the area.

Besides special spring break camps and classes, check out area parks and beaches, see what you can do INSIDE and OUTSIDE around the county with your kiddos. The Museum of Natural History in Morro Bay is putting on Spring Fling events from Tuesday, March 26 through Saturday, April 7 (free for kids and $3 for adults). Get a jump on your Kiddos A Go-Go summer bucket list over spring break–the weather is perfect for it!

One fun thing on our list, that we recommend to all of you is to take a day trip on the train! Enjoy family time and the fantastic weather by hitting a few family-friendly wineries and take a picnic to enjoy outside. You can even take your four-legged best friend with you.

And since spring breaks around the county fall on either side of Easter, check our list of Easter events happening!
