Opening Day of Santa’s House, SLO

Friday, Nov. 23
​10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Santa’s house in Mission Plaza in downtown San Luis Obispo will open for the Christmas season the day after Thanksgiving. It’s free to visit Santa, but cost more to purchase photos. It’s hours will vary day-to-day and can be found HERE.

Santa in the Village, AG

Morro Bay Santa House

The seventh annual Cambria Christmas Market will take place through Sunday, Dec. 23 on the grounds of Cambria Pines Lodge, 2905 Burton Drive in Cambria, at 5 p.m. every night except Nov. 26 and 27 and Dec. 3, 4 and 10 when the market is closed. The annual market offers a winter wonderland of colorful lights in addition to food, wine, live music, shopping, vendors and Santa’s House. Nightly shuttles are available at the Bramblest in East Village and Coast Union High School. The last shuttle to the market leaves at 8:15 p.m. The cost is $10, $15, $20 or $25 depending on the night and children 10 and younger are always free. For more information, call 805-927-6109. Paso Robles Downtown Lighting ceremony

Christmas and holiday lights will illuminate the way to this year’s holiday festivities in City Park. Mrs. Claus will arrive and light the downtown, inviting all to share in the holiday joy. Live music, speeches, candlelight caroling, free cookies, and hot chocolate.

The Holiday Tree on Mission Plaza will be lit on Monday, Nov. 26. Enjoy the ceremony with caroling, hot chocolate, and get in the holiday spirit in the heart of Downtown.

Light Up Atascadero & Art & Wine Tour

Friday, Nov. 30
5:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Downtown Atascadero/Sunken Gardens

There will be a visit by Santa and Mrs. Claus, tours of city hall and entertainment by school choirs, holiday singing and more. The Art & Wine Tour will happen from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. The festivities in Sunken Gardens starting at 6 p.m. Santa will arrive at 6:10 p.m.

Musical Holiday Walk Around the Lake

Saturday, Dec. 1
Atascadero Lake Park

The 20th annual Musical Holiday Walk Around the Lake at Atascadero Lake will take place from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 1. Hot cider, popcorn and other refreshments will be available as attendees walk around the lake. There will be free entry into the zoo from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. If there is steady rain prior to or during the event, some of the street activities may be canceled. Bring a flashlight and a warm coat. Paso Robles Christmas Light Parade

Saturday, Dec. 1

Downtown Paso Robles

The 55th annual Downtown Christmas Light Parade will take place in Paso Robles Saturday, Dec. 1 at 7 p.m. Celebrate the holiday season with an array of floats, equestrian entries, vehicles and marching entries. This year’s theme is “Cowboy Christmas.” Santa and Mrs. Claus will also be in attendance. For more information, call 805-238-4103.

Morro Bay Paddle Parade

Sunday, Dec. 2
11 a.m.
Tidelands Park and Morro Bay Waterfront

Join the fun as paddle-powered vessels get a chance to parade. Bring a paddleboard, kayak or non-motorized vessel, or rent one from local shops to participate. On land, there will be paper boat building, along with other family-friendly activities.

Downtown SLO Holiday Parade

The parade features over 80 decorative floats, vehicles, marching bands, dancers and more This year’s theme is “Vintage Holiday.”

Atascadero Winter Wonderland

The event will include a huge snow slide, snowy play areas, a rock climbing wall, a bounce house, Joe’s Little Train, Santa and Mrs. Claus and more than 50 food and craft vendors.

Merchants along Ocean Avenue in Cayucos

Cayucos merchants will host open houses. The event includes Free horse drawn carriage rides, children’s activities, tree lighting, strolling carolers and a visit from Santa. Holiday shopping with gift ideas, special offers, giveaways, refreshments and entertainment.

“Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree”

The Parade route follows Los Osos Valley Road from Fairchild Way to the park at Palisades Avenue. Participants are encouraged to decorate and costume their employees, their cars, their floats and whatever else they’ll be showcasing to express their best creative ideas of the theme.

Vendors are those who make their products in SLO County. There will be more than 30 vendors with crafts, art, ceramics, clothing, fudge, caramels, mushroom drink, holiday gifts, leather, chair mail and more. There will also be items for sale made by SLO MiniMakers and local children, and children’s activities such as create a caroler, glitter ornaments and face painting. Gingerbread House Competition, Morro Bay

Individuals and professionals will display their gingerbread houseshoping to win judges and people choice awards. There will also be a caroling concert and goodies.

The 33rd annual Morro Bay Lighted Boat Parade will take place on Saturday, Dec. 1 at 6 p.m. at the waterfront. The procession of decorated Christmas skiffs, yachts, fishing boats, cutters, sailboats and kayaks will begin at 6:30 p.m.

Vine Street Victorian Showcase, Paso Robles

There will be bands, dancers, refreshments, the Grinch, the Snow King and Queen, choirs, caroling, Santa and Mrs. Claus, illuminated floats, entertainers, community open houses, free refreshments and Ebenezer Scrooge. ​There will be two snow play areas, one on a slope for the older children and a small flat one for under 4. The second annual Elf on the Shelf competition will take during the event.

Atascadero Community Band Holiday Concert

​The concert is free and will include refreshements. Donations will benefit the Wellness Kitchen, which was recently damaged by a fire to the building.

Visit the Snow King and Queen, Santa and Mrs. Claus, the elves, and Victorian friends. Attendees should bring their Teddy bears for an afternoon of cookies and juice and entertainment. San Miguel Christmas Lights Parade & Craft Faire

The parade will conclude a full day of fun. The children’s carnival and street fair begins at 2 p.m. There will also be a chili cook-off, silent auction, drawings and other activities. Living Nativity, Templeton

There will be live animals and shepherds, along with singing angels and wise men. Attendees may join in on singing Christmas carols or just enjoy the music. The entire event is about 30 minutes, but arrive early as seating is limited and dress warmly. There will also be hot chocolate and cookies available.

Christmas Concert, Atascadero

The choir at Atascadero United Methodist Church will present a free Christmas concert. The choir will be taking free-will donations that will help fund the choir to travel to New York to make its second appearance at Carnegie Hall in November 2019.

Creston Christmas Light Parade

People are invited to light up a vehicle and cruise Creston. Participants will meet at the Long Branch at 5 p.m. and the cruise will start at 6 p.m.
